Two dudes with a dream

It started way back in 2006. The Lex founders, Dave, his wife, Jen had another bar in Detroit...back when Detroit wasn't necessarily cool. Julius, a transplant from Chicago that moved to Detroit just 2 blocks from Dave and Jen's first bar, (PROOF). In those days, Detroit had very few happenings, and somehow, Julius stumbled his way into (PROOF) and met Dave. It was love at first sight, except for the Packers-Bears rivarly. After (PROOF) closed, Julius followed Dave wherever he went and insisted that if he ever wanted to open a bar, he'd be supportive. It took a ton of time, but the dream was real 14 years later.
